Who We Are
About Schiffbauer Technologies
Schiffbauer Technologies is an early-stage startup advancing solar photothermal propulsion for CubeSats and small spacecraft. Our approach leverages graphene-based aerogel photothermal materials and interfacial photothermal evaporation to convert incident solar energy into propulsive mass flow in a compact architecture designed for high thrust-to-power performance and operational simplicity.
Current status
We are currently executing a proof-of-concept study funded by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and expect our first prototype test campaign in April–May 2026. This work is focused on maturing the flight-oriented architecture, refining system requirements through customer discovery, and defining a clear roadmap toward a flight-ready “maneuver package.”
